How to find durable socks that won't tear.

Sock longevity begins with good materials and ends with good construction. It’s important to use high quality yarn to make a sock that can withstand friction and stretch.

Not all yarn is made equally. The processes used to manufacture cheap yarns, such as polyester and nylon, are complex and can involve potentially harmful chemicals entering the environment. For the skin, natural materials are best kept pure but the demands of wearing and washing socks means other fibers like nylon, polyester, elastane or silk  are usually added.

At Tulliani, our yarn is made from natural material that would have otherwise been wasted. Tulliani Yarn requires less energy to be manufactured and produces a minimal amount of by-products, minimizing our environmental impact. Our yarn is 100% recyclable and has earned us an ECO Warranty for our ISO standards.

In spooling yarn and construction, there are different techniques used to create different attributes. Most socks are woven together using multiple strands of yarn stitched tightly together. While this method allows for a smooth finish, it is prone to fraying resulting in holes.

Tulliani yarn is woven with a single continuous strand. This process may take longer, however we wanted to create the ULTIMATE Boot Sock. Our technique creates a durable sock that can stretch past a size 12 without the snapping of seams.

Not all feet are made the same, and our socks were made with that in mind. Our unique socks will mold to a variety of foot shapes and sizes while protecting the skin. So, no more holes!
